The Stock System allows you to manage a catalog of commodity items held and fulfilled either by your own internal warehouse capability or warehouse capability suppliers.

STOCK BATCHES

The system also keeps record of each ‘batch’ of stock; when it was added, how many units and (potentially) at what cost. As the stock is ordered the system debits the oldest stock batches first.

Stock Ordering

Placing an order on your customer’s behalf

As a Buyer/Manager you have the ability to place stock orders on behalf of your customers.

The process is identical to that of the Customer but obviously with the ability to select the customer and end user.

PLACING ITEMS IN YOUR SHOPPING BASKET

To place an item in your shopping basket, prior to placing an order:

Type the quantity you require of an item in the units or boxes field to the right of the item.
Click the Add button.

You should be taken to the Shopping Basket page where you can see the items currently in your shopping basket, their value and weight.

Note: You can return to this Shopping Basket page at any time by clicking View basket in the Inventory side panel.

REMOVING ITEMS FROM THE BASKET

Click the Remove button next to the item you wish to remove or click the Empty basket button at the top-right of the page.

PLACING THE ORDER

Select the user from the ‘On behalf of user’ drop-down menu.
Select the cost center if appropriate.
Click Next.

Change the Address or FAO if required.

Note: If you need to send your order to multiple destinations then:

Reduce the quantities in your first address by the amount required at the second address.
Click Add address.
Set the new Address or FAO.
Set the quantity to the new address.

Type any special instructions into the Notes field.
Enter the purchase order number or select an ordering code at the bottom right of the page.
Click Send Order.
